Dragon Skin Body Armor – The Reality

Are you one of the many that still think Dragon Skin Body Armor ( or flexible body armor) is the latest and greatest?

Then you are one of the many that have not seen the Department of Justice Report on Dragon Skin Body Armor that removed it’s certification on August 3, 2007.

Here is a brief summary:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP) announced today that it has determined that the Pinnacle Armor, Inc. bulletproof vest model SOV 2000.1/MIL3AF01, is not in compliance with the requirements of OJP’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) voluntary compliance testing program for bullet-resistant body armor. Effective immediately, this body armor model will be removed from the NIJ list of bullet-resistant body armor models that satisfy its requirements. Pinnacle Armor, Inc. is the maker of “dragon skin” body armor.

Hi, and welcome to the latest on live saving equipment for first responders facing violence and terror.

This blog is the creation of Danny Gonzalez and Wayne Sharer (HMI Group LLC). We created this blog to hear from you, current and past users of body armor equipement made from kevlar or any other proclaimed “bullet proof” material.

We want you to share your thoughts and experiences, as well as your ideas.

We have new technology we want to share, and what better way than to let you talk about it in any way you like.
