Who’s Paying for Soft Body Armor and Tactical Bulletproof Vests?

Lately we have been looking into who is paying for soft body armor, tactical vests, or bulletproof vests (or whatever is your favorite term). And here is an example of what we found - this one is for soft body armor in the state of New York.
The state of New York has recognized the real need to protect, and offers a way to defer costs of life-saving soft body armor and tactical vests - and deployable shields - through the Division of Criminal Justice Services. Their program is called the Bullet Proof Vest Reimbursement Program.
For this year, it only covers vests for new hires of police officer status, and not peace officers. Now we think this is a real limitation, but nontheless, it still cuts costs for the police force doing the purchases in NY State. There is one little quirk to doing this, but all-and-all, probably worth the effort. The police agency requesting the funding must first apply for the federal funding (we will cover this in a blog post soon).
Good news, the Federal program has a few bonuses… but that will be covered in another post.
So what’s the point? Well if you think it costs too much to save your primary assets lives, and it’s all about dollars to you, then there are ways to help get funds. But we know you are serious about saving lives of police officers, peace officers, military fighting soldiers and marines, and anyone else protecting us from forceful violence.
So keep following us, and we will keep you up to date on the best ways to get the best soft body armor and tactical vests anywhere.
Thanks for coming
